This year at Fespa 2017 (Hamburg Messe, Hamburg, 8 - 12 May) we will introduce a new B1 inkjet printer. Built on the same platform as the highly successful Onset X Series and the SpyderX, the new B1 format printer has been specifically developed to offer a high quality, short run B1 solution for the offset, screen and industrial printing markets. The new machine is planned to be distributed globally by both Inca and Fujifilm, and will be showcased at FESPA on the Fujifilm stand Hall B4L Stand E35.
“We are delighted to be able to preview this exciting new B1 inkjet printer at Fespa 2017” says John Mills, CEO of Inca. “This is our response to the market’s need for a robust B1 inkjet solution capable of printing shorter runs on demand without compromise. The productivity and quality of the new platform will give commercial and screen printers the confidence to take lower volume work off their commercial printers, increasing overall productivity and opening up potential new revenue streams in the process. Visitors will be able to preview the actual machine on the Fujifilm stand, while our product specialists will be available on the Inca stand to highlight its key benefits and features.”
The 8 channel B1 printer benefits from Inca’s fully scalable architecture, meaning it is easily configurable and has the flexibility to grow with the printers’ business, opening new revenue opportunities as it evolves. Suited to a busy production environment, it will be initially targeted at the POP and commercial print markets. However, its inherent versatility means that it will also be suitable for an extensive range of applications, including those that are too thick to be printed on offset. The new B1 platform has the capability to virtually eliminate material handling thanks to a fully automated system complete with feeder and stacker; this enables the operator to focus on print quality and reduces the risk of human error. Manual and ¾ automation solutions are also planned, with modular lay table and collection tray to suit the print company’s requirements and budget.
The B1 printer features Fujifilm small drop, 7ng print heads for crisp 4pt text and smooth colours, ideal for short viewing distances. Next generation optical print head alignment and calibration systems ensure precision and high-quality results are maintained through the life of the product. Two stage UV curing using UV-LED pinning on the carriage keeps heat sensitive substrates cool during the printing and a UV tunnel provides excellent adhesion and durability. Advanced technologies such as recirculating print heads, automated print head cleaning and collision avoidance ensure the machine maintains the same print quality and productivity throughout its life.
Concludes John Mills: “Behind every Inca innovation is the desire to empower our customers by providing them with the most outstanding inkjet technology that is fully adaptable to their business needs, helping them to push boundaries and expand their business. The new B1 inkjet printer is a very important addition to our growing portfolio of inkjet innovations and I am looking forward to personally helping our customers and partners discover its many features and benefits at Fespa
2017.”
